We are excited to continue our Faith Formation journey together this October as we help our children grow closer to Jesus and deepen our Catholic faith.
OCTOBER FAITH FOCUS:
This month we will be learning everything about the Mass. The Holy Mass is the center of our Catholic life. At Mass, we gather as God’s family to remember and participate in Christ’s saving sacrifice. To adore, render tribute and worship Our Lord. Reflect on God’s message through the Liturgy of the Word, participate in the Holy Sacrifice and receive the body and blood of Jesus Christ in the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Sunday Mass is not simply another activity during the week. It is our opportunity to grow as a Catholic family, worship God together, receive His grace, and give thanks to God by sharing our time, talents, and treasure in service of God and others.

Also,
October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary, a Christ-centered prayer that helps us meditate on the life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ with Mother Mary. She always leads us closer to her Son, Jesus. The Rosary is more than simply repeating prayers. As we pray, we reflect on important events in the life of Jesus, known as the Mysteries of the Rosary.
WHY PRAY THE ROSARY?
- To grow closer to Jesus
- Ask Mother Mary to intercede for us before her Son and to pray with us
- Reflect on the Gospel
- Spend quiet time in prayer
- Build a habit of family prayer
On October 7th we celebrate Our Lady of the Rosary. A special day, besides every day, to honor Mary and pray the Rosary together as a family trusting in her maternal care and following her example of faith.
FAMILY FAITH CHALLENGE:
We invite each family to pray the Rosary together.
ROSARY WALKTHROUG
You don’t have to be an expert! Follow these simple steps together.
1. Make the Sign of the Cross and pray the Apostles’ Creed.
2. Pray 1 Our Father, 3 Hail Mary, and 1 Glory Be.
3. Announce the Mystery (1st-5th)
4. Pray the Decade (1-5)
- 1 Our Father → 10 Hail Mary → 1 Glory Be =[DECADE]
5. Hail Holy Queen and the Sign of the Cross.
Family tip:
If your children are young, let them hold the Rosary, lead a prayer, or choose the mystery they want to pray. The goal is not perfection, the goal is to teach them to pray, pray together and grow closer to Jesus.

Announce one Mystery of the Rosary and take a moment to think about Jesus and what this mystery teaches us. Each family member can take turns leading each decade.
