We did get more volunteer ushers trained for Saturday 5 pm Mass. Please feel free to choose to attend either the Sunday 9:30 am Mass or Saturday 5:00 pm. We had a few families not able to join us for Mass on Sunday because we were at full capacity. We are still in need of more ushers. If you feel you can help please let us know.
Tonight, Tuesday the 28th is our first Family Faith Formation Team meeting at 7:00 p.m. Please wear a face mask. No children are allowed at this meeting. Anyone interested in helping us launch this new program for forming our children in the faith please join us tonight. Or if you just want to hear more about it, feel free to come and listen.
Remember our Parish raffle is this Saturday, August 1st about 6:30 pm (after the 5 pm Mass). Buy or sale your tickets and submit the ticket stubs with the money by Saturday. If you cannot drop them off during office hours you may leave them in the black mailbox by the office doors. So far our ticket sales average about $8000 and sponsors about $12,000. The prizes are a total of $6500. At this point the profit is about $13,500. This is less than 50% of the normal profit. This fundraiser is even more important to St Joseph's Parish in light of the economic situation we find ourselves in because of COVID. Thank you for your generosity and ongoing support.
I especially appreciate all the parishioners that have been so respectful of the procedures for keeping our Church safe. We have adopted every measure possible to protect parishioners and the wider community, like requiring masks, practicing social distancing and disinfecting the Church after use. It's not comfortable wearing face masks and not being able to socialize but this too will pass. Hopefully this yearning to be "together" will help us grow spiritually as one parish family and be a beacon of hope in the midst of so much social unrest. Keep up the good work.
